* Values referring to 2025
“I firmly believe that sustainability is a key enabler of value creation. For a real estate investment manager, creating value today means not only delivering strong financial performance, but also understanding environmental and social impacts, managing risks responsibly and responding to the expectations of investors, tenants, employees, regulators and the communities in which we operate. ESG is therefore not a standalone initiative at NORFIN, it is an integral part of how we make decisions, manage assets and build lasting value.”
At Norfin, sustainability is part of our identity — it guides the way we develop and manage real estate assets, creating value for people, communities and the planet.
In 2025, the ESG strategy was operationalised through a structured roadmap comprising focus areas, actions and KPIs under each pillar. Key priorities included the integration of climate risk considerations into investment and asset management processes, the development of ESG clauses for construction and design, the reinforcement of employee wellbeing and development initiatives, the enhancement of tenant and community engagement practices and the strengthening of governance frameworks and responsible business conduct.
Manage the environmental impact of our projects from conception to operation.
Value our workforce by offering healthy workplaces and development opportunities.
Have a positive impact of the communities.
Be a trustful and responsible business.
Governance of the ESG strategy is ensured through the ESG Steering Committee, supported by dedicated working groups and a central Sustainability function. This model promotes cross-functional alignment, accountability and regular oversight, ensuring that ESG considerations are embedded into decision-making processes across Norfin SGOIC and Norfin Serviços.
Certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, EcoVadis Gold, and Great Place to Work help strengthen Norfin’s credibility by demonstrating verified commitments to sustainability, responsible governance, and employee well-being.
They not only differentiate the company in a competitive market but also build trust with investors, tenants, and partners who increasingly expect measurable, third-party-validated performance in environmental and social practices.
Norfin Group Real Estate is making significant strides in sustainable and high-quality development, in all regions, with several sustainability certifications already issued and many ongoing processes under leading industry standards.
Certifications like LEED, BREEAM, WELL, LiderA, Wired Score or AQUA+ not only reflect a commitment to sustainability and health and Wellbeing, but they also reduce operational costs and improve longterm property value.
Walk-through our best practices, in projects under management and under development.
The ESG journey is one of continuous improvement, and Norfin Group is committed to walking it with purpose, transparency, and accountability.
